EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA expands its correspondent banking network in euro

EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA opened a correspondent account in euro with Banca Intesa, the Russian subsidiary of the international Intesa Sanpaolo Group. In this way, EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA expands its correspondent banking network in euro.

For EXIMBANK’S exporting clients, this means that settlements under Russian-Italian foreign trade projects will be carried out on the most favorable terms as promptly as possible. This became possible thanks to the long-term partnership relations of EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA with the Intesa Sanpaolo Group and the established payment infrastructure.

“Expansion of the EXIMBANK’S correspondent banking network that services accounts in euro will enable Russian exporting companies to save time on sending payments under contracts thanks to the optimized payment routes,” Azer Talibov, Chairman of the Board of EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA JSC.

The establishment of correspondent relations with Banca Intesa was a successful continuation of the agreements reached following the meeting of the management of the financial institutions and the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of SPIEF 2021.
